Calabar– House2House Mobilisers on Tuesday unveiled its National Secretariat in Calabar South, marking a milestone for the grassroots political support group ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Secretariat, located at No. 18 Ballantyne Street, Off Edgerly Road, Calabar South, was unveiled under the theme “Grassroots Power Unveiled.”
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Dr. Obu Ereokon, said the Secretariat would serve as a centre for mobilisation, service, and hope for the people.
“I am deeply honoured to have led a team of dedicated, hard-working and selfless individuals who with tireless effort have made this event a reality,” Ereokon said.
“As we unveil this National Secretariat, let this be the beginning of greater achievement. May this Secretariat serve as a centre for innovation, mobilisation, service and hope for our people.”
In his address, the Secretary-General of House2House Mobilisers, Comrade Nta Bassey, traced the group’s history, stating that it was founded in 1999 shortly after the general elections.

Bassey said the group was established to address gaps in political mobilisation, voter education, and grassroots coordination.
“The name H2H, meaning House to House, reflects our core philosophy: taking political awareness, civic engagement and mobilisation directly to the people, one home, one family, one community at a time,” Bassey said.
He disclosed that the group now has structures in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, with functional leadership extending down to the ward level.
The National Chairman of the group, Mr. Emmanuel Nsa, expressed joy that the Secretariat was located in his home ward.
“My most happiness is that the Secretariat is seated right in Calabar. Not anywhere, but in my very ward, Ward 8,” Nsa said.
He explained that the group’s primary objective is to mobilise grassroots support for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.
“Well, this support group supports all the candidates of our great party. That’s the essence of the support group—for us to move from house to house, from door to door, from community to community,” Nsa said.
Nsa expressed appreciation to the group’s patrons and grand patrons, including the Accountant General of Cross River State, Dr. (Mrs.) Glory Tony Effiong; Hon. Chief Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar; and Hon. Chief Dr. Edem Okokon.
The unveiling ceremony was conducted by representatives of Faithplant Global Nigeria Ltd, whose Chief Executive Officer, Evangelist Michael Asuquo, was represented by Mr. Torti David.
Bassey described the Secretariat as “more than a building,” adding that it symbolised the group’s unity, growth, and resilience.
“This Secretariat is more than a building. It is a symbol of our unity, our growth, our resilience and our determination to deepen grassroots political participation throughout Nigeria,” Bassey said.
“It will serve as a national headquarters for coordination, planning, leadership development and continued expansion of our vision.”
The event featured the national and state anthems, opening prayers, goodwill messages, cultural displays, and a vote of thanks by the State Coordinator.
Dignitaries at the event included Hon. Esien Ayi, former Member of the House of Representatives and APC Cross River State Chairman; the Chief of Staff to the Governor; and other political stakeholders.
