CALABAR – The National Chairman of House2House Mobilisers, Emmanuel Nsa, has said the political support group has expanded its operations to all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory as it intensifies grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
Nsa disclosed this during a Wednesday courtesy visit by the group’s national and Cross River state leadership to the All Progressives Congress Secretariat in Calabar, where members reaffirmed their commitment to mobilising support for the party and its candidates.
He said the organisation, which began as a grassroots movement in Cross River state, had grown into a nationwide political mobilisation platform recognised by the national leadership of the APC.
“Already, the House2House Mobilisers cut across the 36 states of the federation, including Abuja. As of two days ago, I was in Abuja. The body has fully registered with the national body of APC,” Nsa said.
Earlier, a member of the organisation, Emmanuel “Tino” Bassey, traced the history of the group to 2009, saying it started as a small political movement in Calabar South LGA before expanding across the country.
According to him, the organisation had consistently participated in electioneering campaigns by mobilising support for APC candidates and had remained committed to the political aspirations of Governor Bassey Otu.
He said the group’s mission was to mobilise citizens from house to house, community to community, in promoting people-centred leadership, transparency, accountability and sustainable development.
Bassey added that following its national inauguration, the group commenced grassroots engagements in its catchment communities and was preparing to extend its activities to other local government areas across Cross River ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on the group’s programmes, a chieftain of the organisation, Dr Obu Ereokon, said House2House Mobilisers planned to embark on a mobilisation tour of the 18 local government areas of Cross River to sensitise residents on voter participation and galvanise support for APC candidates.
He said the organisation would also undertake civic education, Permanent Voter Card sensitisation, community engagement and capacity-building initiatives as part of its grassroots strategy.
Receiving the delegation, the Cross River state chairman of the APC, Chris Etta, commended the group’s grassroots approach, describing door-to-door mobilisation as a more effective campaign strategy than large political rallies.
Etta said the party was increasingly adopting community-based engagement to reach more voters, adding that House2House Mobilisers had positioned itself as a trailblazer in grassroots political mobilisation.
“Our emphasis is not going to be big project campaigns. The resources for a big project campaign, if we redeploy them to house-to-house, to door-to-door, to polling unit mobilisation, we are going to derive impact that we have never seen before,” he said.
The visit also featured the presentation of the group’s senatorial district and local government areas coordinators by the national public relations officer Nkese Eneyo, and discussions on strengthening collaboration between the APC leadership and House2House Mobilisers ahead of the 2027 general elections.
