LAGOS — Africa’s rapidly expanding experience economy is undergoing a digital transformation as home-grown technology platforms work to streamline the continent’s event infrastructure. Leading this shift is Fewticket, an innovative event management and ticketing platform founded by Cross River-born tech entrepreneur Louis Bassey, which is redefining how audiences across the continent create, discover, and access live experiences.

The rise of major music festivals, sporting activities, corporate conferences, and cultural events across Africa has exposed severe fragmentation in event technology. Organizers routinely struggle with disconnected systems for registration, payment processing, check-ins, and performance analytics. Meanwhile, attendees face complex checkout processes and limited payment options.

Fewticket addresses these operational bottlenecks by integrating the entire event lifecycle into a unified digital ecosystem. Beyond traditional ticketing, the platform offers end-to-end management tools including guest registration, digital ticket delivery, real-time analytics, and automated check-in systems.

To expand accessibility across diverse markets, Fewticket incorporates WhatsApp-based ticket purchasing, multi-currency transactions, and flexible local payment integrations.

“Africa does not lack experiences,” said Louis Bassey, Founder and CEO of Fewticket. “We have incredible culture, entertainment, tourism, creativity, and communities. The opportunity now is to build the technology that connects these experiences to more people, more seamlessly and at greater scale.”

Since launching in September 2025, the platform has achieved rapid scale across the African market. Fewticket has powered over 300 events, facilitated the sale of more than one million tickets, and reached over 100,000 monthly active users. Its growing operational portfolio includes major gatherings such as FunFest, The Big Picnic, the Model ECOWAS Summit, and the Women in DeFi Summit.

Looking forward, Fewticket aims to expand beyond event software into a broader ecosystem bridging entertainment, tourism, culture, and commerce – positioning its infrastructure to power the continent’s next generation of live experiences.
