Ahead of the final voting on Friday, Uefa President Michel Platini has expressed his displeasure at Sepp Blatter saying he laid 2011 it was going to be his last term in office. Michel Platini has constantly gave his support to Sepp Blatter but this time around he has expressed his disappointment at Sepp Blatter for lying to gain votes.

The Frenchman decided against challenging Blatter this time but has not ruled out standing in 2019. Michel Platini said Sepp Blatter don't want to lose power because of fear of emptiness he will feel after letting go of his postion, as Platini has chosen to give his support to Prince Ali Bin. Seventy-nine year old Sepp Blatter face a strong opposition from Prince Ali Bin who is 39 year old and has before now the Vice President of FIFA.

Another broadside to Blatter came from Argentine football legend Diego Maradona who told the Daily Telegraph that a fifth term for Blatter would be "an absurdity".

"Under Sepp Blatter, FIFA has become a disgrace and a painful embarrassment to those of us who care about football deeply," the 1986 World Cup winner said.
