The Blues ended their pre-season tour of north America by defeating European Champions Barcelona. Again it was a penalty shootout which saw the game ended 4-2 and gave Chelsea their second preseason win. The first win came from French Champions PSG which Chelsea won 6-4 also on penalties. The game lead to penalty after 2-2 draw of normal 90mins played.

It was PFA player of the year award winner Eden Hazard who gave Chelsea the lead with an early strike. The Premier League Champions held on the lead throughout the first half, until industrious Luis  Suarez cancelled the lead with six minutes into second half. Barca extend the lead with 62nd mins goal from Sandro Ramirez after cutting inside and firing past Thibaut Courtios. An header from Gary Cahill in the 86th mins levelled the game and took it straight to penalty shoot out.

Chelsea converted all their spot kicks as Radamel Falcao, Victor Moses, Ramires and Loic Remy were all on-target for Chelsea, and a miss which came off the bar from Alen Halilovic's  and a saving from Gerard Pique by Courtios gave Chelsea the victory of a 4-2 win in the International Champions Cup played in Washington DE with spectators of 80,000.

This sends a clear message to London rivals Arsenal ahead of their opening match of the season with the Community Shield to be played on Sunday. Chelsea no doubt, has a big ego ending their preseason tour defeating Champions of two European Leagues.
