Nigeria is now the Homecoming centre for the establishment and the manufacturing of Ford Ranger pickup truck.

According to reports from our source, the President and Chief Executive Officer, Ford Motor Company ( South Africa),  Mr. Jeff Nemeth, informed thus: “Nigeria is a priority market for us in sub – Sahara Africa…”

He further informs that the Ford Motor Company has deliberated and have concluded that the to be established plant in Nigeria would serve as a viable centre of Service to west Africa.

He argued in the same vein that the Nigerian assembly plant would be established in partnership with its dealer, to wit , Coscharis Motors. And that its location will be Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos State.

NEGROIDHAVEN gathered that sometime in August Last Year, this promise was made to begin the manufacturing of Ford Motors in Nigeria, but it was deterred because the American based automobile company did categorically express their fears which Places a conditional clause to the supposed plan.  According to them, Unless there were ready Markets for the products in Nigeria , the company would not risk having a factory located in it.

In my opinion, this fear seems to have abated as Coscharis Motors  have decided to stand in as a “life jacket”guarantor.

We hope to keep you updated with facts as they unfold.
