Arsene Wenger and the Gunners fans must have got their heart in their mouth prior to the start of the match against the German Champions known  for their devastating passing pace and goal scoring ability,

Despite Bayern fans staging a boycott in the first five minutes against the extortionate ticket prices and entering the stadium five minutes late, they still gave their team the necessary support as the German passing machine still forced the home team to sit back with their energetic runs and pace. The initial 30 secs saw goal scoring in form Lewandoski made a solo run tearing apart the gunners defence but his finishing was altered by the composed back line of the Gunners. Amazinly, it was Peter Cech who is making his first Champions League appearance for the Gunners that pulled some strings of saves beginning with

a slick interchange between Thomas Muller and Thiago, the latter had a fierce strike saved by Peter Cech, The Gunners also had their own chance of threat from Sanchez and a close range header from Theo Walcot saved by amazing Manuel Neuer.

The moment of the match came when joker and less reliable striker Oliver Giroud gave Arsenal the lead 75 mins into play capitalizing on a blunder made by Manuel Neuer. The second came from German midfield mestro with some minutes left to the end of the game which was lately pulled out by Neuer as it was awarded a goal number two.

Arsenal at this point have their fate in their hands as a trip to Bavaria in two weeks time will most certainly determine their chances of qualifying from the group stage.
