A renowned public affairs analyst/ social commentator, Prince Thomas Abi Jr., has congratulated the Governor of Cross River State, Sen Prof. Ben Ayade on his Sustainability Champion Award.
"A very big congratulations to the digital governor of CRS, Sen Prof. Ayade Benedict on his Sustainability Champion Award at the 9th Edition of the prestigious Nigeria Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards (SERAs)".
Prince Abi, described the award as timely and well deserving, stating that the governor had contributed so well in the environment sector.
"For me this award means so much owing to the fact that governor Ayade has contributed so much in the environment sector. It can be recalled that the governor worked on Groundwater Remediation in Nigeria and invented a sewage treatment plant on solar energy".
"He is not just the governor of CRS but he is the first black inventor who is a governor. Prof. Ayade is a man who has earned a lot of applauds in the environmental sector. Worthy of note is his position in the 7th Assembly in the senate where he was vice chairman on ecological and currently Chairman African governor's forum on climate change. This shows that he is truly a member of the global intelligentsia community, sound, vibrant, exposed, and an adroit jingoist".
He stated that Prof. Ayade was a man who was a goal getter and an achiever.
"Prof. Ayade is a man who believes in anything he set his mind".

The governor has shown that he is a man of conviction, from a humble background to a digital governor .
