Though new in birth, Negroid Haven  has proven a voice in Cross River State politics. Articulate in presentation and balanced in view, negroidhaven.com accommodates pro-government views and the critical voice of critics: making the newsletter the conscience of the people.

In an era that media agents cling to government for regular subventions, NegroidHaven remains an  independent media platform and stands as one of the most radical voice of truth in Cross River State politics. Where conscience is lost in in face of money and peanuts paid for reportage, Negroid Haven remained guided by principles of honesty and integrity.

Our history surely defines and shapes us. The major players in negroidhaven.com have been my students in their undergraduate days. I have never been in doubt of their commitment as they were bright stars and intellectual giant of their time. The laminating ray of their intellectual acumen radiated in their academic performance and their results told their critical content. Their engagement in class always forced lecturers to go for extra research. No wonder all the key players in the platform graduated with the flying colours of second class upper division and the best in their class.

Standing for the truth is a sacrifice, a call and a commitment that comes with long term rewards. It is unfortunate that our democracy pays praise singers. Opportunist have often stolen the show, especially in our Nigerian politics. But like the grasshoppers that lives for the day but fade and die in the difficult times of the year. I urge NegroidHaven to make some sacrifices while gathering integrity today. I urge you to live a life akin to the ant that gathers for the dry days. While the grasshoppers blossoms in the rainy seasons and dies in the dry season, the ant eats and gathers for the day of starvation. Be not like some media outfits that are focused on praise singing and bootlicking of politicians. The success of any media platform is not monies won but integrity and trust built over the years.

I see negroid haven taking the media space in recent times. It has built its name in state politics; but is yet to make significant impact in national and international affairs. The start is good but more is needed as information is key in our world today.

Once more a big congratulations for the strides made so far.
