HEALTH: Akpabuyo LGA Chairman Flags-off off Immunization Campaign against Measles -Charles Ekanem

The Chairman of Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Dr. Patrick Ene Okon yesterday paid a suprise visit to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Health to intimate her of their readiness to flags off the State Immunization Campaign on Measles starting from 28th January to 1st February, 2016.

The Chairman proposed a Maternity Health Centre in Ikot Offiong Ambai to be the venue for the flag-off. He went further to assure the S.A that the Primary Healthcare Coordinator in Akpabuyo LGA has mobilized health workers and they are set for a successfull flag-off.

Dr. Betta Edu, the Special Adviser to the Governor of CRS on Community Health, thanked the Honorable Chairman for finding time to come and intimate her of their readiness to host the flag-off. She hailed the dogmatic Chairman for his charismatic commitment to a better healthcare delivery system in the state. She equally praised the unprecedented support of the state government to ensure that every child in CRS is immunised.

Among the dignatories to attend the flag-off includes His Excellency, Senator (Prof.) Benedict Ayade, His Excellency, Prof. Ivara Esu, Honorable Chairman of Akpabuyo LGA, Chairman Committee on Health in CRSHA Hon. Ekpo Bassey. Commissioner of Health, Dr Inyang Asibong ,Special Adviser to the Governor on Community and Primary Health Care, as well as State representatives of our Partners that include UNICEF and WHO.
