As part of the effort to deliver quality health care services to the people, our proactive and digital Governor, Prof (Sen) Ben Ayade inspected a land for the building of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Calabar.

The land, according to the S.A on Community Health, Dr Betta Edu, which is located along Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Bypass (industrial layout) is provided for free by the State Government as part of their Public-Private Partnership drive.

The Special Adviser, assured investors and donors of Government readiness and resolve to partner with them to fully implement their projects in Cross River State.

She went further to state that the building of this factory in Calabar will also provide direct and indirect jobs to Cross Riverians as well as bring huge economic traffic to the state.

The pharmaceutical company will prevent capital flight by producing drugs that are hitherto being imported into the country.

The project which is handled by Healthage Nigeria Limited, a Pakistanis firm will be another addition to the tourism sector of the state in the form of medical tourism.

The Project is expected to be ready, first quarter of 2017.
