It is no longer news that the government of Ayade is poised to build a trust deceit as a manipulative ploy in a bid to buy time and manipulate our psyche with the opium of propaganda led by his media team.

In the history of governance in Cross River State, no government has made more promise with intention to create false hope and elongate primitive spirit of wealth acquisition like the government of Ayade. It is to be recalled that the government of Cross River State governor Ayade had set out to accomplish so many projects with specified timeline. Prominent amongst these projects includes but not limited to the supper high way, the deep sea port and the garment factory. While he promised to complete the garment factory in his first 100 days in office, the super high way was due to be completed and commissioned in his first term in office while significant work was to be carried in the deep sea port to near completion.

The first hundred days of Ayade in office saw an avalanche of media hype with the Chief press secretary to the governor participating in the trust deceit by announcing that the garment factory was 95% completed. To give foundation to the game deceit and time buying, the governor immediately ordered for a lifting of the over twenty years ban on employment promising the creation of 1000 years every month all through the pendency of his tenure as governor. In furtherance of his manipulative style, the governor ordered for the recruitment of people into the Green Police and the garment factory. Disappointedly, no employment is yet to be made besides the appointment of over 700 aides with no employment letters no fixed salaries.

It is embarrassing that the garment factory that was said to be 95% completed is but less than 35% completed. A new date for the commissioning of the garment factory has been fixed for April this year. The garment factory is a small and achievable project. Even private individuals can accomplish the garment factory project faster than the time frame set by the governor. The garment factory was noble only to the extent of serving as a model to encourage private investors to key into the program of industrialization of the state.

In the same game of deception, the governor seems not ready to met up with the four years time limit for the completion of the over hyped super high way project. After dragging the president for the ground breaking ceremony for the kick off of the super high way, only clearing of limited portions of the site has been achieved while the governor engages in a frolic of travels while evading the real job of governance.

The sad and sour history of Cross River State under the government of Ayade is orchestrated by Ayade's media team that have turned attack dogs to any voice of reason. It is on record that the first deceptive move of Ayade was his promise of a debts buy off through an a special agreement with international agencies to employ our rich forest reserves meaningful as a collateral for the debt buy off. The trust deceit of debt buy off is no longer tenable because it has been greatly punctured by the governor's critics and concerned citizens.

It is also to be recalled that in his inauguration speech Ayade assured the people of the state that he has secured 500 million Euros from Broad Spectrum Investment for the execution of the signature project. After due and diligent investigation of the company in corporate affairs commission, the scales of lies warped in the signature project has shut the governor's arrogance in recent times. The introduction of fraudulent companies to execute the signature project warped with the selfish disposition to use the  signature project initiative as a conduit pipe for the elongation of his primitive spirit of wealth acquisition is the killer of his initiative despite how good its intention.

Today Ayade seems to be talking less of the signature project and the garment factory. The trust deceit seems to have been shifted to the propaganda surrounding the establishment of the first rice city in Africa and the proposed Calabar pharmaceutical Company. Can this lies be sustained? Come to think of it, the governor has already borrowed about 50 billion naira there by sky rocketing cross river state debt to about 500 billion naira. Recall that the governor is yet to meet up with the payment of his over bloated exco. What magic will Ayade employ to convince critical and concerned citizens of cross river state and Nigerians alike
