Barely a year after Ex-Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh took over from Stephen Keshi as becoming coach of the Super Eagles.  He has taken to his twitter account stating his resignation as the coach of the National team.

Sunday Oliseh, who played for Nigeria from 1993-2002, was appointed the country’s coach in July 2015, replacing Stephen Keshi. He is known to be a reputable player abroad having played for clubs as Ajax, Dortmund and Juventus.

Oliseh citing “contract violations” as the reason for his departure, which he took to his twitter account on Friday which he stated; “Due to Contract violations ,lack of Support,Unpaid wages,Benefits to my players,Asst.Coaches & myself, I resign as Super Eagles Chief Coach.”

” I feel fortunate, blessed and eternally grateful for having had the honour to Play,Captain & Coach this great Nation of ours,Nigeria.”

Without doubts, Politics and corruption has eaten the roots of Nigeria football. Hence bad performance as a result of lack of support, unpaid wages and benefits.

The NFF obviously are sitting on the keg of their own gun powder,  as their yet to comments on the tweets.
