CRS Partners With A Kenyan Based NGO on “Back2Book” Project.‪

The Government of Cross River State ably led by Prof.Sen. Ben Ayade has partnered with a Kenyan based educational non-governmental organization, known as ‎FAHAMU to deepen as well as broaden the frontiers of educational research, writing and policy formulation in Cross River State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Our source has it that the SA to the Governor on Student Affairs And Youth Mobilization, Mr Prince Michael Nku Abuo did on July 1st, 2016 seal the partnership after a meeting at Governor’s Office in Calabar .

Negroidhaven however garnered that "VoiceOfReason" stood as an affiliate to authenticate the deal as were ably represented by the trio of  Mr. Ubio Daniel, Miss Blessing Izirein and Miss Ofre Vivian.

The project known as "Uhodari" project, is according to the Governor's SA,  a student proposal writing competition which is open to all students in tertiary institutions in ‪‎Nigeria and Africa as a continent.

According to him, Students are free to write a proposal/essay on any of the ten themes below:

1#  Leadership and governance. 2#  Religious fundamentalism and culture.
3#  Agriculture and good sovereignty and security. 
4#  Access to capital and starting small businesses.
5# Environmental conservation and climate change.
6#  Education and professional training.
7# Citizenship and right to nationality.
8#  Role of peace and security in development.
9#  Migration and Africans in diaspora.
10#   The use of technology as a tool for innovation and employment creation.

Interested students are to submit their application to vofr@outlook.com. As 5 winners will be selected from Nigeria to win $2000 USD worth of prices, including travel and educational opportunities.

Deadline for application is 25th July, 2016 while proposal presentation and winners in Nigeria will be declared on the 30th of July, 2016 at the Chemistry Auditorium of the University of Calabar.

Interestingly,all the entries will be collated into a document for policy formulation in partnership with relevant institutions and organizations within the state and across the federation as no idea would be discarded.
