Ikom, Cross River-born Sagas Mbeh was yesterday at the 72nd plenary session of the Senate of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), in a bye-election conducted at Ebonyi State University, elected into the Office of Financial Secretary of NANS under the NANS Presidency of Comr. Chinonso Obasi.
Whereas, the executive offices of Financial Secretary and Treasurer of the apex students body in Nigeria was zoned to Zone B comprising the eleven states of south-southern and south-eastern geopolitical zone of the country, the office of Financial Secretary was designated as an Akwa Ibom/Cross River ticket. Comrade Mbeh successfully clinched on the office of Financial Secretary.
Comrade Mbeh who is married to Mrs Jennifer-Austine Awunansere is a postgraduate student of the University of Calabar precisely doing research in the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies.
Comrade Mbeh has been the Caucus Scribe of the Faculty of Arts, President of the Senate of the Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA), Chair of Joint Campus Commission (JCC), Cross River State and a presidential candidate terminated elections of Postgraduate Students Union Government (PGSUG), University of Calabar.
