Whatever the genuine agitations are, it shouldn't include damaging human life & the very environment that bears the very heritage of a people.

Pst Usani Uguru Usani
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs
2 August 2016

The above statements are credited to the Nko, Cross River-born federal Minister in charge of Niger Delta Affairs Ministry. He made it on his Twitter handle yesterday and is obviously sending it to Niger Delta Avengers as well as other militants sect in the region.

Minister Usani seems to admits the agitations of the militants as 'genuine agitations'. However, he pleads that unlike what Boko Haram in the northeast is doing, the degradation of the environment and taking of lives should be out of the question. For the presidential aide, the environment and lives 'are the heritage of the people'.

In a similar fashion through the same platform, on 1 August Pst Usani contended that, 'President Buhari ought to be immensely supported by the Niger Delta region because it has benefited more from him than any Nigerian president'. This generated a lot of debate  as some critical minds asked to expatiate on those specific 'benefits'.
