The Ben Ayade Vs Joe Agi suit (FHC/ABJ/CS/15/2015) that was adjourned to 17 January 2017 by the Supreme Court is most likely to be heard tomorrow Tuesday 27 September 2016, NegroidHaven.org has reliably learnt.

However, my source has it that the case may only be mentioned for hearing and not judgement. This is contrary to the rumours making the rounds among some circles that definitive judgement will be delivered tomorrow 27 September.

However, when NegroidHaven.org inquired whether this idea of bringing the case forward from January 2017 to a much earlier date was preempted by the court my source explained that, 'The court while going on recess said that they may bring the case on, in January 2017. But also said that after the recess break when issues are not too tight in the courts, they may shift foward to fast track the hearing on the case and other cases too'.

It will be recalled that Mr Joe Agi, SAN had dragged Governor Ben Ayade to court on account of conflicting and contradictory declaration of age while filling documents required for the gubernatorial election of 2015 and the non-payment of subscriptions fee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Agi is asking the court to declare him as the substantive winner of the 11 April 2015 gubernatorial election on account of being the runner's up in the December 2015 controversial primary of the PDP in Cross River State.
