In a bid to forestall unity and prevent panic among the over 1.6 million Nigerians, the federal government have tried to manage the truth hereby convincing Nigerians that the economy is not doing too bad after all.

But recently, the Federal Government received the shock of their lives as the Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha opened up the bitter truth about the dwindling Economy of Nigeria, hereby requesting the presidency to declare a state of emergency on the economy.

According to our source, the Governor made this bold claim while speaking in an interview with Leadership newspaper, he admitted to the dismay of his audience that the economy is in such a terrible state and that the government needs to first carry out what I may call emergency response.

He however said, that to achieve that feat, all Nigerians must be  fully on board.. All hands must be on deck.

For him, we must unanimously decide how best to move our economy forwards, this is why a declaration for a state of emergency is imperative.

In his words:

“There’s nothing wrong with that, in fact, we have to declare a state of economic emergency right now in Nigeria and all hands must be on deck to fix the economy of this country.

For some of us and I think for all Nigerians who travel out, we know that we need to stand up and avoid sentiment and face the issue,”
