The Young Democratic Party (YDP) yesterday 4th September did its thanksgiving service at Honey Streams Christian Centre, Calabar. It will be recalled that YDP was officially launched last week with the National Chairman, Arc Ezekiel Nya-Etok and four other national officers in attendance in the state.
The Senior Pastor of the church, Pst Akomaye Ugar who was really instrumental to the formation of YDP in Cross River State commended the state executive council for effective take over. On his part, the state party Chairman, Comrade Castro Ezama thanked Pastor Ugar for making sure this idea of a platform for progressive minds in Cross River State was formed through effective leaders like Comrade Anthony Bissong Attah. He prayed God to give them the grace to effectively take the dividends of democracy to the grassroot level.
The thanksgiving was well attended by the entire officers of the state executive council. The state EXCO used the occasion to call for membership from interested Cross Riverians and residents as it emphasised that membership is open to vibrant youths across the state.
