Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, who won bronze medal at this year's Rio Olympic hosted in Brazil, has surprisingly not featured for the new Chelsea this season.

Antonio Conte doesn't see Mikel fit and suitable for his side, in his idealogy of high intensity football and formation of play. This has made Mikel not even making the bench for once ever since the start of the season.

This has led Olympic Marseille who is in the midst of a revamp to come knocking, and wants the Chelsea midfielder to strengthen their team in the January transfer window.

OJohn Obi Mikel, is the longest serving player in Chelsea, after John Terry. He now looks likely to be heading to Ligue 1 Marseille.

Could this transfer resuscitate the Super Eagles captain or dent his career, which he still has a lot to offer being only at the age of 29.
