Dangote progresses to 68th world most powerful persons list- Forbes

Nelson A.Osuala[ 24 December 2016] Information available to negroidhaven avers that Nigerian born Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group- the largest multifaceted business conglomerates in Africa has been recently rated as the 68th most powerful living person in the world by Forbes magazine. The implication of such ranking suggest that the Nigerian business tycoon stands shoulders high with the likes of global political figures as the newly elected United States President, Mr Donald Trump and the controversial Russian President, Vladimir Putin. The latter who have metamorphosed into a renown political gladiator as well as one of the most fearful man on earth. You will recall that Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the president and founder of Dangote Group of Companies was  for the first time, 'featured on the exclusive list of world’s powerful people in 2013 when he was ranked the 71st most powerful person in the world and the only African to crack the list'. This year’s ranking however is significant because, Alhaji Dangote is seen to have "stepped up his game", having climbed up to number 68th in the world and second in Africa behind Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who is ranked as 44th on the list. According to our source, those who seems to occupy as well as dominate  the top places on the list are as expected, people who can be described as "Rain makers"- visible global figures who have been making waves for either right or wrong doings and reasons. In the list are people like Vladimir Putin, the aggressive and repressive Russian president, he sits atop the list as the most powerful person in the world, followed by Donald W Trump; German Chancellor Angela Merkel is third while Chinese premier Xi Jinping is fourth. Social media Icon and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is number 10 on the list released by the magazine. In spite of the global economic recession, these individuals have stood as very influential despite the pronounced  shaking in World economy and Politics. Nelson A.osuala
