Birthday boy Prince Charles Ekanem rise to glory in life wasn't smooth as many thinks. No wonder he is a Gemini, Charles is very smart and a loving person to be with. He is a leader, peer educator and activist.
CHARLES AS LEADER
Charles began his Primary Education in the famous A.M.E. Zion Primary School, Diamond Hill, Calabar in 1998. A school which have churned out so many illustrious figures in the state. He was very unique and his leadership qualities started manifesting when he was chosen as assistant prefect. Due to his academic prowess he was invited to write common Entrance examination from Class 5. He performed very well passing with distinction. At Class 4 young Prince was always leading the school during May 27 and 1st October march pass.
CHARLES AS A SPORT LOVER AND PEER EDUCATOR
Whoa! This dimension of Prince is very interesting, young Prince got admitted to Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria Secondary School in 2002 but due to his love for public academic institutions, he rejected the admission and personally told the mum who was teacher that his dream school was one school with the colour " Navy, Blue and Yellow". 
Science was his favourite field so he opted for Government Science School, Akim Qua Town, Calabar. As a Gossaite Charles love for sport was awesome, his first nick name "SPORT COUNCIL" was due to his love for Football. All the sport loving teachers were Charles friends due to his love of reading sport papers. Charles never lacked sport papers in his school bag, he was always reading TODAY'S SPORT, COMPLETE SPORT and ARSENAL WEEKLY. 
Due to his love for humanitarian services and Healthcare, Charles in JSS 2 became a member of AIDS STRIKERS CLUB. He rose to become Director of Information in his JSS 3 in the club. In his SSS 1 Charles became the Secretary of AIDS STRIKERS CLUB and was working closely with SACA, NACA, SFH and GHAIN. Finally in his SS2 when responsibilities where given to his class, Charles became the President of AIDS STRIKERS CLUB, CALABAR ZONE. As a Zonal President Charles embarked on life saving rallies against HIV & AIDS in Calabar Metropolis. He was supported by defunct Global HIV & AIDS Initiative Nigeria (GHAIN). The Project Manager of GHAIN, Dr Sylvester Ebaye then marvelled about Charles as he confessed that Charles was the first student to write and seek ICT Materials and financial support for a rally on HIV & AIDS." In his words, I personally scrutinize the young man in my office, he was on uniform and his level of knowledge about the disease was amazing! I felt like employing him but I couldn't because he was still in School.
He also got the support of Society For Family Health, Cross River AIDS Network when he organized a HIV & AIDS Sensitization seminar for selected secondary schools in Calabar. It was that period SFH acquired the services of Charles as a Peer Educator.
Charles Law as he was called by colleagues was the Assistant Prep Prefect, Class representative in SS3 and generally the Zonal President of AIDS STRIKERS CLUB.
CHARLES AS A COMRADE ( STUDENT ACTIVIST)
As a student of Cross River University of Technology, he was a known Student activist from his year one till final year. His student activism sojourn began as Provost Marshall, Chemical Science Students Association (CHEMSSA), later in his Year two he became the Director of Finance, CHEMSSA before he was elected as Director of Socials, National Association of Cross River State Students ( NACRISS) in CRUTECH. He was Chairman of Faculty Excursion and Picnic Committee in his Year 2. In his year 3, he was a member of National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS). He served NANS as Publicity Secretary Joint Campus Commission (JCC). As a NANS Comrade Charles was very much active in agitations and as such he was always on the road travelling to Northern and western part of the country for meetings, protests, pre -Conventions and Convention. He's one of the founding members of National Association of Nigerian University Students (NANUS) now National Association of University Students ( NAUS). He's popularly known as a FINE BOY COMRADE by Northern and Western NANS comrades. Presently he is a member of NAUS Convention Planning Committee (CPC) as a Financial Secretary. He was nominated during the pre-Convention in Abuja last month.
CHARLES AS A WRITER AND NEW MEDIA PERSONNEL
He was always a writer and petitioner in his undergraduate days, his love for health journalism is non negotiable. His promotion of primary healthcare information across the State is inline with the health humanitarian services he was rendering in his secondary level education. Today Charles is New Media Assistant in Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
CHARLES HOBBIES
He loved swimming, watching his favourite club Arsenal FC, But one thing you can't take away from Charles is his love for Food. He doesn't joke with good food. Win his heart as a lady with good food.
