C’River Partners Nestlé Nigeria as Health Commissioner Inspects Facilities

Nestlé, in collaboration with the Cross River State Government, Saturday, organised a scientific symposium in Calabar, the Cross River State capital. The theme of the symposium – iron and micronutrients deficiency in children and infant- sort to find a way forward as to the bridging the deficiency gap.
Speaking at the event the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong who was the special guest of honour lauded the organisers for their consistency in child nutrition and overall well-being of the populace. Dr Asibong encouraged the company to continue in their quest to ensure a healthy living for everyone whilst also reiterating the commitment of the Ayade led administration to continue to create enabling environment for potential investors.
The event had in attendance the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Health, Dr Joseph Bassey who relived his Nestle experience and also encouraged the team to keep up their good work while the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu applauded Nestlé Nigeria for their Choice of Cross River State, and the Director of Public Health in the Ministry, Dr Iwara Iwara, was full of appreciation for the initiative. 
Also present among other dignitaries and medical practitioners were eminent professors from the University of Calabar as well as the Field Operations Manager, South South, Nestlé Nutrition; Dr Tobi Ilesanmi, the Regional Sales Manager, Cross River Region, Nestlé Nigeria PLC; Abe Olukolade, Medical Delegate, Nestlé Nutrition, Cross River State; Prince Efone, and the Field Sales Manager, Calabar, Nestlé Nigeria PLC; Olumoyin Tolulope, who also made their presentations at the epoch making event.
It would be recalled that a month ago the Honorable Commissioner in company of the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Health Dr Joseph Bassey, the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu, visited the Nestlé plant and head office in Lagos to inspect their production facilities towards ensuring their products are fit for consumption by Cross Riverians.
