A comrade with the organised labour in Cross River, Okan Peter, has queried the use of state-owned broadcasting corporation despite ongoing industrial action against the state government.
Peter, Friday, did this with featuring a photograph of the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Tina Agbor, and another unidentified male, alleged to be taken during the period under review.
His words, 'As at the time of this briefing, Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC) was on strike. How come its microphone is on duty?'
The confused Peter expressed himself via his Facebook account. Na how CRBC deh strike whereas her mikelokon deh government office? Hmm! Me, I follow for this confusion ooo.
Meanwhile, the state governor, Prof Ben Ayade, has directed that MDAs should be open on Wednesday 28th June despite industrial action. He has even said that technical and appropriate services should be secured via recruitment, procurement and outsourcing. See press release below:
Sequel to the ongoing strike action and refusal of the Labour to call off the action despite the fact that Govt has fulfilled the demands presented for resolution, His Excellency Gov Ben Ayade hereby  directs as follows:
1. All Commissioners and Heads of MDAs should ensure that all Govt offices are open for business on Wed 28th June,2017.
2.  Governor further directs that all Commissioners and Heads of MDAs should obtain the technical or appropriate services that they may require through recruitment, procurement or outsourcing.
3. Effective Wed 28th June 2017, all Ministries and Departments must be functional and Commissioners/Heads shall be held responsible.
The State Govt has a responsibility to keep the wheels of Government machinery turning in the best interest of the generality of Cross Riverians.
Once more we hereby reiterate that the no work no pay clause has been invoked.
Please be guided.
