Reasons Why Dr Okura Ekom, House of Assembly member jettisoned PDP and defected to APC

The Honourable Member representing Obubra II State Constituency at the 8th Cross River State House Assembly, Dr. Elocate Okura Ekom, on 1st July, formally defected to All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Obubra town NegroidHaven can report. 
With this development Dr Ekom becomes the second sitting lawmaker in the state to defect to the APC after Senator John Owan-Enoh. 
Again, the 25-member chamber is now 24 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and 1 APC. Motivations for this defection is yet to be ascertained by NegroidHaven. It may not be a matter of ideology per se but strategising in view of the 2019 forthcoming general election. Details will follow shortly.
