There is a frenzy of picture coloring that has been going on as part of activities to celebrate Akwa Ibom state thirty years anniversary. Citizens and residents are busy coloring themselves Orange. The state government through the ministry of culture have declared the whole of September "Orange September".
I personally will not join this frenzy with the following reasons:
(1) Akwa Ibom is the only state whose citizens color themselves orange but their economy is being run by Igbos (90% of businesses and outlets/shops at Ikot Ekpene road, Itam market and plaza shops are owned by Igbos).
(2) Akwa Ibom state is the only state whose citizens color themselves orange, but are busy selling lands and properties to Igbos. (land don finish lai dis. Igbos have invaded and even up to Itam, Uruan and Ibiono).
(3) Akwa Ibom state is the only state whose citizens color themselves orange, but government contracts are being awarded to non citizens.
(4) Akwa Ibom  is the state whose citizens color themselves orange but can't boast of a viable orange farm, nor orange juice industry(our orange na only for color nii). There is  absolutely nothing orange about the state!
(5) Akwa Ibom is the state whose government appointees share the app to color your pictures orange freely, help citizens color them orange voluntarily, but will never share job opportunities and government incentives.
(6) Akwa Ibom is the state whose citizens color themselves orange, but orange is a scarce product in the state.
If there is any orange in Akwa  ibom, it's unripe. It has sour taste. I can't color my self with such.
My name is Beatitudes Ubongabasi Akpan. I will not color my self orange. Nonsense and orange.
