Abdulmalik Hadi Adinoyi [14 December 2017]

Your excellency sir, The 4th Executive Governor of Kogi State —– My Governor and Our Governor as I fondly call you, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello,

First and Foremost, I wish to once again bring you heartfelt greetings as well as good tidings sir. This time around from my personal Self as I have retired from active student unionism which provided the platform for me all those times l have had opportunity to meet with you eye to eye in other to meet minds on pertinent issues on how to better deliver my mandate and that of my Principal, Mr. Shaibu Philip Omepa, the latter who served as the mouthpiece of Students Union Government, Kogi State Chapter.

I wish to felicitate with you on the journey so far your excellency sir. I wish to appreciate you particularly for finding it necessary to apologise to the people of Kogi State on quite a lot of issues with the promise to take proactive steps towards resolving all those areas where it appeared we were at loggerheads as we had clash of interests.

If there was anything to specially applaud you for again your excellency, it is in dedicating quality time out to launch a reshulfment in your cabinet.

I considered it expedient because I was in the know as it regards the kinds of words and moods displayed in pictures while you were making the announcement, including the circumstances that warranted such metamorphosis which no doubt must have been a very horrible and pain inflicting one.

Even though there may be more to it, it is no mincing words to say that you acted as someone who realised his mistakes and was ready to make amends where necessary, disallowing any room for political corruption and leakage of any kind in governance whether it was Financial, Political and other wise.

It is however the case that although there may have been some little mistakes here and there, these were however done in good faith and not with bad intentions as the saying goes that 'No Man is Perfect'.

Let me put it on record today your Excellency that a good portion of the criticisms leveled at your Government was due to the ill-visionary scope of the State Executive Council.

This accounts for why no matter what, the views of those who are objectively getting themselves concerned about affairs of the state were not taken seriously.

It is no gain saying the fact that there were unfonded allegations targeted at your Government in the State which raised quite a number of issues. However, your excellency, there were still some others that had some atom of truth.

Your excellency, it takes the grace of God Almighty for any politician to realise his or her mistake as at when due especially when within the corridors of singular power .

I make bold to say that you have won many hearts once again by mere stating the obvious that some commissioners have not been of any productive value since assuming power . In fact, I would advise that they should brace up and be assured of getting a sack letter with or without adjustment.

I consider all that has happened as a mistake and conveniently I could still regard them as the price that must be paid for us as a people to have a U turn to head for where the gbales, attah-ogujos, adais dreamt of.

Your excellency, I wish to state without equivocation that I am convinced and have faith in what you have to offer in the days ahead.

In the same vein, i believe that this turn around is not only necessary but undeniable and for you to realise this, it means the grace of God is still with you and I less wonder why you are the most criticised governor in the history of Kogi State so far and yet the most celebrated.

It is no praise singing to say that no Governor in the history of Kogi State has led an anticipating government into positive action as yours Sir. This goes to tell how much your reign is surrounded by quite a lot of significances .

Your excellency, like I have always emphasised Sir, Politics and Governance are inseparable, while I agree with this sir, I am optimistic just as you can not 'rob Peter just to pay Paul'.

If we get what we call and know as governance right, every needed structure will with ease be in place.

The pressumed thoughts of the general public is that money is being exchanged for what performance would have fetched you. But nonetheless, I look forward to see part of the ongoing change to be extended to the political realm.

Your excellency, In as much as prior to this time,I had faulted your political instructions, I couldn't have done something different than what you have done if I were in your shoes in some cases.

Political insecurity I want to believe lead to what has been described as your style of use and neglect of key political players and stake controllers in the state.

I am optimistic however that this change will provide either reconciliation with the reasonable toes that has been ignorantly stepped on or efforts be made to get tested and trusted hands on deck to complement the overworked hands of Chief Edward Onoja in Image Making and Political Structural Building.

Truth be told, I hardly speak for politicians and am not an apologetic of any but it's only courteous to say things as they are, He is that only one Cabinet member who puts interest of the state forward first before his because he knows what he deserves and how to go about getting it .

But then, the means of plugging some persons out of their responsibilities and enthroning new persons has to be diplomatic because most Kogi people especially where you come from in the central Senatorial District are ingrates.

What you could argue to be a normal practice for a government to have a change of hands during the mid of the tenure may be interpreted for something else and the same people you fed will rise against you in dividing your party further more.

This is the little I have to say this time around your excellency Sir.

Kogi will not collapse under your watch and you shall live to rise to as far as you may desire.

The foregoing are no hypocritical praise singsing or paying lip service, your excellency I have nothing to loose if I choose to blindly see nothing good in whatever you do but then I have my conscience and Karma to battle with.

I know who I am and what I deserve and how to better go about getting it. Loyalty to Kogi State above any individual interest will fetch me better tidings than kicking out the need to be Who I am.

Please let's take this new cause to a definite direction of selfless services to the people of Kogi State. Ambitions are too many around us, let those who have ears hear.
With Compliments as usual Sir.

Yours Faithfully,
Abdulmalik Hadi Adinoyi
Ex-President,(NAKOSS-KSU).
