Dr Inyang Asibong wins Independent Neswpapers Public Service Award for South-South Commissioner of the Year

The Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, has been presented with the award of the South-South Commissioner of the Year by Independent Newspapers Public Service Award at the conference center of the Eko Hotel, Lagos NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
The award which is in recognition of her outstanding performance as a Commissioner for Health, also puts the State among best performing states in the country in terms of healthcare delivery.
Dr. Asibong who spoke via a telephone interview said the award is only a motivation to do more, adding that she owes it all to God and His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for his mentorship. She thanked the organizers of the event and promised to continue to give her best at all times.
From successfully organizing the first ever Cross River State Health Summit, to developing the first toll-free smart phone and LAMIS Software for health facilities in the State, to drastically reducing maternal mortality rate in the State, following up with the accreditation of schools of nursing in the State and steering the State to becoming the only South-South State in the country to win the bidding rights of MTN Foundation support project to renovate Maternal wards of the General Hospital, Calabar. 
Her achievements also includes guiding the State to winning the award for best performing South-South State in the SOML PforR, reducing HIV/AIDS prevalence in the State, as well as the best performing State in the control of NTDs in Geneva etc.
