The member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Mike Etaba, has commissioned some of his numerous constituency projects which has direct impact on his constituents NegroidHaven has confirmed.
Etaba commissioned the newly built Magistrate Court in Apiapum community, Presbyterian School building in Apiapum, Four class room blocks in Ovokwa, six classrooms block in Yala-Nkum, six classrooms block in Bendeghekim, 1,000 school desks for Okoun East secondary schools amongst others.
According to Etaba, the projects were initiated to add value in the lives of his constituents, adding that his empowerment programme for his constituents would soon commence.
The lawmaker, who has been lauded by members of his constituency for initiating the project, urged his teeming supporters to remain calm and be ready for his robust empowerment programme scheduled to take place later in the year while his constituency tour was been planned to visit all the political wards.

It would be recalled that the lawmaker had in February this year, paid the hospital bills for four members of his constituency that were involved in a ghastly motor accident along the Calabar-Ikom highway.
When alerted of the accident, Etaba drove down to the Centre Point Health Centre, Ofudua where the victims were receiving treatment. He consoled with them and paid their bills.
The Honourable member equally traced the other victim to a Patent (Chemist) shop, ordering his relocation to the Health Centre where he would be properly taken care of.
While paying courtesy visit to the people of Apiapum ward, where he’s coming from, Etaba was approached by some group of youths with a pair of scissors, asking him to commission some of his projects which he started and completed.
Hon. Etaba was left astonished, but later redirected where he cut open the ribbon and commissioned three of his projects.
But, a few days later, the internet was agog with a fictitious story, stating that the lawmaker only commissioned a sign post since he was elected to the green chambers.
Reacting to the post, Mr Okimba Norbert, Chairman of Central Progressive Forum, described the post as a cheap blackmail by uninformed individuals.
Norbert said that the Forum mounted the sign post as an information board to highlight the achievements of Hon. Etaba.
According to him, the lawmaker had executed some projects that have not been brought to the notice of the public, hence the reason why the group decided to put up the board.
“On that very faithful day, we persuaded the lawmaker to come and unveil his achievements board were we have chronicled all the things he has attracted to the people of Etung/Obubra Federal Constituency.
“I am very shocked at what some people write without appropriate verification”, he said.
After commissioning the projects, Etaba said, “Apiapum happened to be the ward I am coming from, I never knew people will recognise my projects.
“I have done same in Etung Local Government Area and other places in Obubra. I really appreciate your efforts for keeping records of my achievements, and I will do more by God’s grace”.
The lawmaker had earlier donated two hilux vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force, Obubra Division and Eung to help them in maintaining peace and order in the area.
Also, the lawmaker has sponsored the Energy Commission of Nigeria Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill 2018 (HB. 1290) and the Commercial and Industrial Development Authority (Promotion and Incentive) (HB. 1291). Both bills have scaled through first reading.
