Today, at about 11:30AM I stopped to buy a Pen from a shop at Orok Orok by mount Zion when an agent of Kejase (NIG) LTD walked in with a demand notice for the shop owner.
Kejase (NIG) LTD is a consultancy firm on Business Premises Registration and renewal permit.
When I confronted him and told him it is illegal, since the Cross River State government through the Internal Revenue Service has terminated all contracts of Tax consultants across the state.
The two agents, male and female, ran away as I was calling the Home Land Security.
Below is a demand notice already issued to a shop close by.

SA Solomon made this post on Tuesday 27th February 2018. There's been the challenge with CRSG making this policy and agents flaunting government orders. It seems there is a conspiracy by government in this context.

'The Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Prof. Ben Ayade has directed the exemption of the following category of businesses from paying tax: Restaurants/Eateries, Barbing/ Hairdressing saloons, Motor cycles/ Keke Napep and petty shops.
This was contained in a release dated 5th February, 2018 and signed by Dr Ukam Edodi, chairman, Cross River State internal Revenue service.
Accordingly, all consultants as well as staff of IRS are enjoined to ensure strict compliance of the Governor's directive.
