Recognizing the importance of women in bible times and in society today, Mr. Joseph Edet a native of Adiabo Ikot Mbo Otu, an outstanding young entrepreneur and CEO of La Shakara Clothing and Branding opened the doors of his country home to celebrate the Easter season with women leaders/women from Odukpani extraction.
Speaking to the women who came from all the 13 wards of the LGA, Mr Edet thanked the women for the visit and charged them to continue to be exemplary leaders and role models to the younger generation. Acknowledging the fact that without the woman there would be no nation, he encouraged the women to contribute their quota in making Odukpani better by aspiring to be better women at home and in the community.
Mr Joseph Edet also pointed out that for the past 14 years, he has been contributing his quota to make life easy for those truly in need by occasionally distributing clothing items, food items, educational materials, health support while also partnering with friends and NGOs to equip interested young persons with different skills.
Responding on behalf of the women, Mrs Justina Edem thanked Mr Joseph Edet for the warm reception and applauded him for his charitable and industrious nature urging him to not relent in doing good and being of help to humanity for as long as God strengthens him. The women jointly prayed for more blessings on Mr Edet and for peace in Odukpani LGA.
The event climaxed with the distribution of gifts to the women and general merriment.
