OWAN-ENOH : Aide absconds with .95 billion naira of Senator’s money, cripples campaign structure

Unconfirmed reports reaching our news desk suggests very strongly that one Mr Gaius Chibuzo, a media aide to John Owan-Enoh, lawmaker representing Cross River Central Senatorial District at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has absconded with a whooping sum of nine hundred and fifty million naira (N950, 000, 000. 00) NegroidHaven can report authoritatively. 

The incident is said to have occurred December 2017 during the yuletide celebration the lawmaker organised for his constituents tagged : Cross River Central Christmas Fiesta, at Ikom where the like of 2Baba, Sunny Neji, Okon Lagos, Gordons, Mr Faddo, Nico Mbarga, etc performed. 

Though the exact amount of money is contentious as some have said it’s N950 millmil, N800 million and even N70 million, a source is quoted to have said that ‘Owan-Enoh admits that he was duped of N70 million by his aide’. However, another source close to the Senator has confirmed that there’s an absconding of a certain amount by Gaius but not to the tune mentioned. It’s said that investigations are on, and some family members have been contacted. The source said, ‘it’s Gaius…Oga sent him…he stole the money, but not up to the amount’  

It’s alleged that the lawmaker and his camp have refused to engage the services of security agents to investigate the development because of obvious implications. It’s suspected that the bids for public office by Senator has been seriously undermined. 

The eloping Gaius known MTN phone number isn’t connecting, he is said to have been seen last online in 17 December 2017. Attempts by our correspondent via phone calls to confirm from the Senator himself  though successful were futile as Owan-Enoh sent in a text message explaining that he’s not disposed to speak now. 

Absconding Gaius is the man behind ‘The Connector’, an online facility for connecting individuals together online. Some of the social media handles that go by the name ‘John Owan-Enoh, Sen John Owan Enoh’, and the like were actually managed by Gaius.
