Over the weekend the good people of Adadama community in Abi local government area of Cross River State had their traditional festival called "AJI". It is one of the biggest, most colourful and famous festival of the Adadama people, the Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr John Gaul Lebo, who represents the good people of Abi in the house, was readily on ground to celebrate with his people as he also hails from the community.
The Speaker also over the weekend started a train of activities which kick started the train event of his engagement and consultation for 2018 PDP primaries for Abi/Yakurr federal constituency, House of Representatives. The engagement began from his polling unit in Ibalebo, Isaja playing ground where he votes. The Speaker started the engagement and consultation from home, just as it is a known fact that charity begins from home, he started from his own polling unit, which saw a wide acceptance and was greeted with accolades from the people of his polling unit.
The Speaker's train of engagement and consultation team, thereafter moved to the Adadama traditional rulers council, which is led by HRH Eval Nelson Agbomi, Eval Lezekpakor, VI Atatama. Where he made his intentions known to his fathers and traditional leaders, his declaration of intention was well accepted by the council, their blessings were given to him and with total assurance of their unflinching support.
After the meeting with the royal fathers, the team advanced next in the course of their missionary journey of engagement and consultation to Adadama PDP Ward executive, which is the Speaker's immediate political family, his intention was warmly welcomed. In an exclusive interview with one of the delegates who prefers to be anonymous, in his words " the Speaker deserves accolades for the numerous people projects he has executed ranging from his educational rescue programmes, to his skill and capacity building programmes, not omitting his medical outreach which was a huge success and in recent days his rural road projects these and many more are the reasons we the Adadama PDP Ward executive are firmly with him all the way through the journey to the house of reps".
Shortly after the meetings with the different bodies, the Speaker's train made their way to the biggest, and the mother body of the Adadama people, which is the Adadama Development Association (ADA),  where he also briefed them because he has always been a formidable member of the association, and his blue prints, achievements and projects needs not be told to the people of  ADA, as they have been religiously carried along. The meeting was equally full of happy moments, they unanimously agreed the Speaker has done well, and hence should be supported in ensuring that indeed the dividends of democracy actually gets to the people of the grassroots, as it is evident in his representation. An interview with a member of the association, who simply gave his name as Sunday Mbotor in his words " the Speaker has actually been up and doing, it is visible that his exploits as a member representing Abi, can't be matched by any other previous member's from same LG in time past. He has used his experience as a legal practitioner with vast years of experience to represent us as a LG, and hence I and others do believe that his support shouldn't be a matter of debate to any progressive minded ADA member".
The engagements and consultations just got started, as the train will in days to come be moving round other parts of Abi and also Yakurr local government, to the build up of the PDP primaries.
