It has never been heard that Local Government workers who used to be owed many month salaries in previous governments would receive salaries even before they work. The present administration of Sen Ben Ayade has for the past two years paid state workers May salary on May Day, but not local Government Primary Health workers. The jinx breaker Ayade, has put a shocker up!!!
Despite the fact that FAC meeting at the national has not held for some months and monies have not come in from the national, Ayade magic is paying salaries of May on May Day, while most states are owning workers and some still pay half salaries!
In keeping with the commitment of Governor Ben Ayade's administration to the welfare of the workers, Primary Health Workers has been paid their April and May Salaries as an added boost to celebrate workers day.
Reacting to the development, Community Health Workers Treasurer, Josephine Abobi stated that the gesture was unprecedented , considering the nation’s economic downturn that has made it impossible for many states to pay workers’ salaries.
DG CRSPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu commended the Governor for paying April salary last week and May salary on May Day which she said was a surprise package borne out of his magnanimity. It is a catalyst to the health workers to motivate them to discharge their duties efficiently.
She urged the state health workers to reciprocate the gesture by putting in their best to increase productivity and going all out to support Sen Ben Ayade who has approved gratuity and funds to complete the labour house.
