About four persons have been reportedly killed, Tuesday, at the Ibesikpo axis of Mbukpa Street of Calabar, Cross River State capital city over suspected gang rivalry.
The incident which began from a football viewing centre occurred during the march between Nigeria and Argentina in the ongoing Russia 2018 World-cup competition where Nigeria lost 2-1 to Argentina.
A source is noted as saying that there were gun shots, machete cuts, and residents running helter skelter as businesses were forced to close down as ran for safety.
An eye witness said she was coming back from church and unfortunately met this gang looting at Idang street. Before she knew, they opened fire and everyone ran with their toes touching their heads.'

Interestingly, there's a security outfit a stone throw from the venue of occurrence of the incident —it was shot down too(this is Nigeria)! According to one Andrea Ekeng Inyang who lives around the area, he said, 'Ibesikpo is just seconds drive away from Mbukpa Divisional Police Headquarters, yet this manner of breakdown in law and order.'

There's no official comment from the Nigerian Police yet.
