Governor Ayade’s hunger for youth development, undying –Comr Asu Okang

The Cross River State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Asu Okang has described the State Governor, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade as having passionate and undying hunger about Youth development and decoupling the State from a Civil Service Oriented one to an Industrial hub.
Comr Okang who stated this during the presentation of the prize money to the winner of the 13th edition of the INFOQUIZ, which fielded questions from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development on the Cross River Broadcasting Service (CRBC), enjoined Cross Riverians to be partakers and contributors to the programmes and industrialization process of the State by the Governor, entreating them to appreciate the efforts of the State, adding that they can visit the various industrial sites and innovations of the Governor to see for themselves that indeed, the Governor is working to reposition the State. 
The Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mrs. Ninka Takon stated that Governor Ben Ayade is very passionate about Youth and Sports Development, hence his release of the 45million Naira counterpart funding of the YESSO intervention Programme which is geared towards empowering unskilled Youths through their engagement in public workfare and learning a trade intermittently with a stipend of N7,500.00 to work for two to three hours thrice in a week.
Also speaking, the Commissioner, Ministry of Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong lauded the initiative of the digital Governor and his magnanimity over the release of the counterpart funding to the tune of 45million naira, explaining that it shows a true idea of empowerment, as the beneficiaries do not have to source for money to attend their trainings.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, represented by the State Director of Information, Ms. Paulyne Eba charged Youths in the State to take advantage of the various Industries springing up across the State, adding that the platform of INFOQUIZ is to create awareness, sensitize and orientate the people effectively without prejudice.
Responding, the winner of the Quiz, Mr. David Ebri, a final year student of the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calabar, appreciated the organizers and the Youth and Sports Ministry for the initiative while encouraging Youths to support the Senator Ben Ayade’s administration, which he described as promising and engaging for the youths.
