The Cross River State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Eyo Ekpo has told the people of Cross River State North Senatorial District that they will be proud of his government as he seeks to be the Governor of Cross River State and not of any part of the state.
Eyo who was speaking when he met with some party faithful in Ogoja Local Government Area, said that he was kicking off his campaign in the area and is here to convince Cross Riverians of why the party should be voted ahead of others.
Speaking, Eyo Ekpo said the Governor has focused on improving himself and his family to the detriment of every other person in the North. Eyo added that nobody, from the South, Central or North can claim to anything Ayade has achieved in his 4 years in office.
Ekpo promised to return the glory of Cross River North by reopening the Obudu Mountain Resort, the Bebi Airstrip, the Obudu Mountain Race and fix the bad roads that
Earlier speaking, Engr. Wofai Ewa, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party stated that the party is in the race to rescue the state from the hands of those who have deliberately set out to under-develop the state.
Wofai held that there was a time the state was seen as the leading light of other states in Nigeria and people who are from the state held themselves with respect as our state was run with so purpose and a sense of direction.
Also speaking, the Cross River State Chairman of the party, Mr. Eni Ikpi said the SDP is in the governorship race to win, and that it will be done with no violence. The Chairman urged all party members to encourage people to come out and vote as that is the only way to defeat the incumbent.
