Cross River born agropreneur,  Godshield Kanjal has urged governor of Cross River, Ben Ayade to set up a think-thank in second tenure.
According to him, appointing every 'dick, tom and harry' as government functionary does not add up if those supposed appointees can't bring anything to table.
The Ogoja born CEO of Kalz Farms,  and producer of popular snack, Kalz Plantain Chips, noted that a large number of appointees in the outgoing administration did not make any positive impact in the state apart from receiving pay cheques at the end of every month.
He added that appointment of office holders should not be based on sympathy but by thorough scrutiny to ascertain those who have something meaningful to offer the state.
"The last administration was hinged  on food on the table. It was a jamboree of appointments . This second tenure should not be so. There should be a think-thank covering all sectors.
"this think-tank should consist of young men and women with proven track-record.
"Cross River has lots of potentials in agriculture, and it isn't rocket science to unlock these. All we now is to have people of likeminds in government, not sycophants and praise singers," he said.
