The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Obol Ofem Ubana, Obol Lopon of Ugep, on his emergence as the 16th Paramount Ruler of Yakurr Local Government Area NEGROIDHAVEN can say.
In a statement by his media aide, The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Williams rejoiced with the royal father on his victory and commended other Yakurr monarchs for the sense of unity and oneness they displayed in the selection process of the new Paramount Ruler.
'The seamless and peaceful selection of the new Paramount Ruler which was done under an atmosphere of love and conviviality is a testament to the unity that exists among our Monarchs. This is highly commendable.'
He urged the new Paramount Ruler to unite and entrench peace in warring Yakurr communities. He also prayed God to guide and give him the wisdom to continue to rule over the affairs of his people.
