Gov Ayade redeems N30 million pledge

Governor Ben Ayade has kept to his promise as he redeemed N20 million naira to Reepee Ajaba and Okpo Records. 
The Governor had earlier redeemed the N10 Million naira  pledged to the cast and crew of the organizers of Nkukwuak command performance, led by the immediate past commissioner for culture and tourism, Eric  Anderson. The gesture by Governor Ayade is to encourage local talents in the state and create a greater platform for them to achieve their career goals and ambition.
Speaking, while presenting the cheque to the  two musicians, Reepe Ajaba and Okpo records, Ayade's  Chief of Staff, Martins Orim, advised them to use the money judiciously and not to live ostentious lives.
The Chief of Staff expressed optimism that the money will enable the artists to grow their musical career.
He charged them  to use the money judiciously and shun luxurious lifestyle, noting that if they can use the money  well it will generate more millions for them.
Pius Ushie aka Reepee Ajaba, responding on behalf of the artists, praised Gov. Ayade for giving their career a huge boost. 
Ephraim Inyang of Okpo records  Continuing, thanked Governor Ayade for supporting local talent and assured him they will not disappoint him.
Also, present at the presentation of the cheque were Mr Emmanuel Effiong Asikpo Okon, State Chief of  Protocol and Mr Effiong  Ekpenyong immediate past SA Carnival Planning..
