√ He has been an active and consistent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from 1999 till date.
√ He is a born leader with passion and commitment who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.
√ He is a thorough breed grassroots politician with a midas touch in local government council administration.
√ He is highly acquainted with the fact that the Local Government Council is the pivot of socio-economic planning and development in its area of authority, and the most important facilitator of economic and social development at the grassroots.

√√ During his tenure as Leader of Leaders, CRS, he had a robust and mutual working relationship with the then Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke. With his excellent leadership qualities, he was able to convince Governor Imoke to increase Legislative Vote (LV) to all local government legislators then. This is what councillors in the state enjoys up to date.
√√ As Leader of Ogoja Legislative Council, Hon Emmanuel Ishabor contested the office of National Chairman, Nigeria Councillors Forum (NCF). He was coasting to victory but was prevailed to step down because the immediate past Chairman was from the South. The Northern Councillors insisted it must go to the North and he eventually withdrew his interest in the interest of peace and unity of Nigeria, and emerged as the Vice President.
√√ As Vice President of the Nigeria Councillors Forum, he became the rallying point for South- South Councillors by attracting the hosting of Nigeria Councillors Forum workshop at Tinapa Resort CRS where then President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR was overwhelmingly endorsed for a second term.
√√ With vast background and experience in politics, governance and grassroots development, his experience as former local government legislator will undoubtedly place him in a better stead to secure the deliverables for people of Ogoja LGA and the state.
√√ With so much mental content and energy to bear, he is mostly moved by the sincere desire to serve his people, which is why if voted, he will bring his enormous wealth of practical and idealistic knowledge garnered over the years in politics and governance to bear on the job, that will in turn yield better development for the people of Ogoja with special focus on the following areas;
