The Special Adviser on Industry Chris O. Ogaidang this week inspected ongoing work at the groundnut oil production factory located at Nyanya in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The Special Adviser who took the trip as part of his duties commended the governor of Cross River state Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade on his industrialization strides in the state in less than six years of his administration while speaking with Nyanya indigenes.
He told them that the governor is moving the state from a civil service state to an industrialized one in such a short time with the potentials for job creation and economic development.
The Special Adviser also commended the contractors, who were in the process of reinforcing the concrete foundations to carry the superstructure about to be constructed, for ensuring a quality job and delivering according to specifications.
The contractors assured the Special Adviser to the governor that the groundnut oil production factory will be completed in a few months and ready for production.
Bekwarra Local Government Area in known for groundnut production in the state and thus has comparative advantage which informed the Governor's decision to site the groundnut oil production factory there after building to completion the groundnuts de-shelling plant a few kilometers away in Gakem .
The governor of Cross River State Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade in his industrialization drive has set up several industries across the state. Many of these industries have been completed and are operational while others are at various stages of completion.
Some of these industries include the Cross River State Garment Factory, the Rice Seed and Seedlings Factory, the Ultramodern Vitaminized Rice Mill at Ogoja and the Cocoa Factory at Ikom.
Others include Calabar Pharmaceuticals Industry, the Noodles Production Factory, the Feedmill, Poles, Piles and Pylons Factory, the Chicken Processing Industry and the Bags production company to name a few.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Industry, Chris O. Ogaidang who is from Gakem, Bekwarra LGA and has urged his people to continue supporting the Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade as they are already doing, to enable him succeed.
