CALABAR– Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has sworn in two new commissioners and announced a major cabinet reshuffle, according to a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Ekeng Inyang NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.
The Governor redeployed two serving commissioners as part of the reorganisation aimed at enhancing service delivery and aligning the administration’s priorities with its “People First” agenda.
Dr. Erasmus Ekpang, who previously served as Commissioner for Information, has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Lands and Housing.
Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham, formerly of the Ministry of Transportation, has been redeployed to take over as Commissioner for Information.
The new appointments and redeployments are expected to bring fresh energy and strategic focus to the respective ministries as the administration continues to implement its development agenda across the state.
Recall that according to a 25th July press statement from Linus Obogo the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Dodeye Arikpo’s nomination as commissioner was approved by Gov Otu amidst other appointments.
