Hoodlums attack Emana Duke Ambrose-Amahwe’s campaign in Akpabuyo, cart millions, personal effects

The Lady Emana Duke Ambrose-Amahwe’s political campaign experienced a setback on Friday as machetes-wielding hoodlums attacked both her and her campaign team in Akpabuyo her local government area of origin NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

At the Ikot Ekpri Ene PDP Akpabuyo chapter secretariat, in the open field, a hoodlum of boys numbering over 20, brandishing machetes at a little beyond 3.30PM disrupted her campaign activities where Lady Emana Ambrose-Amahwe came to consult PDP Akpabuyo delegates in respect of the forthcoming party primaries.

The unfortunate incident occurred at the end of the consultation event such that no sooner had a vote of thanks been done by one of the party faithfuls than the hoodlums attacked Lady Ambrose-Amawhe, some of her key campaign members and eventually snatched away the sum of N5 million, Ambrose-Amahwe’s personal iPhone, attacking the police orderly to Ambrose-Amahwe, scaring the crowd of party faithfuls the event’s venue.

Findings by NEGROIDHAVEN suggests that some of the identities of the hoodlums are as follows: Mr Okon Umoh who is the leader of the hoodlums, Okon Ediye, Affia Ekpo of Ekpene Ikot Eyo, Eyo Maurice Eyo Edem of Ikot Eyo, Orok Bassey, majority of whom are alleged to be affiliated with Rt. Hon. (Apostle) Essien Ayi the incumbent Representative of Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South Federal Constituency.

In a brief interaction with Lady Emana Ambrose-Amahwe in Calabar the state capital on Friday shortly after the security scare in Akpabuyo, she said that she is not intimidated by the incident: ‘Essien Ayi must not die in office. He sent his boys to kill me in Akpabuyo, they stabbed one of the police officers attached to me, robbed me of my iPhone, money’, she alleged.
