C’River rallies support for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as he declares for Nigeria’s presidency

Hundreds of Nigerians who are indigenous to and resident in Cross River have expressed their confidence in support of the presidential ambition of Prof. Yemi O. Osinbajo the incumbent Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.

Calabar the state capital metropolis went agog yesterday as Nigerians from all walks of life were seen marching across the streets rallying support immediately after Osinbajo declared his interest for the highest office in the land.

Majority of the crowd were seen brandishing placards as well as donning shirts with sundry inscriptions on them as they walked across the streets: the one of such inscriptions read ‘face of hope’, the other read ‘Osinbajo 2023’, another ‘Vision 2023’, ‘Vote Prof Yemi Osinbajo for president, federal republic of Nigeria’, ‘Whom the cap fits’, and so forth.

According to Diana-Mary Nsan who was behind the microphone during the street rally, she disclosed that Cross Riverians were on the street of Calabar ‘in joy, in excitement, in ecstasy that His Excellency has declared. We are happy’.

In an interview with some of those present, they expressed their confidence in the character and personality of Osinbajo to preside credibly over the affairs of Nigeria come 2023.

In the above light, Jerry Unor when asked why he was at the street said ‘I am here in solidarity with Vice President who just declared his intention to run for the presidency. We are here to tell him that we are behind him. We are here in our thousands to show the world we actually want the vice President to be our president come 2023’. On her part, Prof. Francisca Bassey said ‘It is very obvious why I am here to support Prof Yemi Osinbajo. We all have seen where we are, and as parents, as Nigerians we just can’t be here. We looked through: this is a man that has the fear of God. Had pedigree, a man that has been tried, is tested, is humane, is humble, had taken time to understand the problems of Nigeria, has manifested ability to bring solutions… We can’t afford to do trial and error’.
