Odukpani, Calabar communites commend Rep Mbora cover construction of primary school classroom blocks

Nigerian federal lawmaker is receiving encomiums for educational and numerous other interventions in Cross River South NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.

Odukpani Central and Akai Efa communites have hailed the House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon Eta Mbora, for constructing and furnishing classroom blocks to enhance teaching and learning in primary school in the state.

The classroom blocks are located at Government Primary School Odukpani Central in Odukpani local government area and Government Primary School Akai Efa in Calabar Municipality and were inaugurated on Monday and handed over to the benefiting communities.

The classroom blocks were facilitated by Mbora and constructed through the federal ministry of works and housing.

Mbora has intervened in eight primary schools across Calabar Municipality/Odukpani federal constituency. The intervention includes provisions of books, teaching aids, hundreds of desks and adminstrative materials.

Speaking shortly after the handing over ceremony, a community leader in Odukpani Central Ward, Mr Asuquo Offiong, said: “We have seen lots of projects you have inaugurated in our various communities. We have seen street lights and roads at Akim Akim. We have just seen the new school block in our community.

“It is a testimony that you represented your constitients very well and we are proud of you and can only say carry-go!”

“But like Oliver Twist, we are asking for more. Assist us send our children to school by paying their school fees. Our ward, Odukpani Quo Town, would support you for your second term.”

Also speaking shortly after inaugurating another three clasroom block at Akai Efa, the clan head of Akai Efa, HRM Herienta Efa, commended the federal law maker for coming to their aid and contributing to the development of primary education in the community.

Other key stakeholders also commended the Rep member for the intervention in primary education, saying such intervention came in the nick of time.

Speaking at the inauguration of the classrooms, Rt Hon Eta Mbora commended the communities for thèir understanding and support, urging them to make good use of the buildings.

Mbora said he is committed to promoting primary school education through intervention, adding that he is collaborating with other federal agencies for more projects to restore confidence in public schools.

He promised to do more because PDP is committed to taking back the state, maintaining that the party has a solid team and repared to execute more projects when re-elected.

He urged the party members not to allow themselves to be intimidated by anybody.
