Christian music artistes in Calabar have been advised to invest in packaging themselves as brands for public acceptability NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

This disclosure was made recently during Praise Unlimited, a Christian radical praise music concert which held at Outpouring Assembly in Calabar the Cross River state capital metropolis.

Chuks Praize of Praise Unlimited in an interview with our correspondent after the successful completion of the music concert yesternight said that ‘If you don’t have anything to offer, nobody will come to you; one of the things I have seen not just in Calabar but Nigeria as a whole is people being able to invest in Gospel music.

‘I am not blaming the people not investing in Gospel music, I am blaming the artistes themselves. Because one of the things you have to do is you have to package yourself. When you’ve packaged yourself, people will want to associate with you.’

According to him, before you will get to the level where people will be interested in investing in your music career, you have to pay the price.

Chuks Praize who noted that he started singing about twenty years ago explained that Praise Unlimited commenced in 2014 after he had a terrible autocrash experience in 2013 which claimed two lives and almost claimed his own live at the Murtala Mohammed Highway while returning from a similar performance in Ugep. He said he had a break in 2020 during the COVID-19 challenge and resumed after.

He said he is inspired by the fact that if he must be of service all the days of his life, then he must do so with his talent: ‘‘Before 2013, I had never written a song of my own, I remember that the first song I wrote was titled ‘All the Days of my Life’…

‘All the days of my life I will dwell in the house of the Lord, it means that I cannot dwell in the House of the Lord without using my talent to bless lives, I had to tell myself that I must give more than hundred percent of what I am giving now and before you know it I started Praise Unlimited…’’, Chuks Praize said.
