I’ve had the privilege of listening to Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, Governorship candidate of the APC talk about Cross River in a closed-door meeting long before he emerged candidate.
Not so many people around understand the State as much as he does. To govern a people, you must first understand them. Prince Otu understands the state and it’s people in-depthly.
One of the major challenges of leadership in the State is the lack of evolvement of the civil service. The service is the brainbox of any government. No administration can successfully live up to standard with a comatose civil service.
As Governor, one of the very top priorities of Prince Otu would be to reform the civil service. Essentially, he has been at the vanguard of civil service reforms since the Donald Duke days.
Vote him not just because he’s APC. Don’t vote him only because he’s from South where majority of Cross Riverians believe should produce the next Governor. If that’s the case, we can well consider other candidates from South.
Vote him because he knows where it all got wrong and he’ll hit the ground running from day one. Mobilise for him because his understanding of our peculiar problems and the solutions he has prepared are topnotch.
If you love Cross River, vote Prince Otu.
