The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, on Friday , 7th July, 2023, received in audience the leadership of the Ukelle Nation led by Rt. Hon. Ogana Lukpata. The meeting was a beautiful interaction as both the host and the visitors reminisced on their long-term relationship and bond.
Rt. Hon. Peter Odey acknowledged the cry of the region for infrastructural development in the area and sued for unity and cooperation while promising that the Prince Bassey Otu-Led administration will recognize the Ukelle Nation and respond to their needs accordingly.
Speaking earlier on behalf of the Ukelle Nation, Dr. Julius Okputu advised that the guiding light of righteousness, justice, truth and love should guide the decisions that this government will make for the benefit of the people.
APC Chapter Chairmen’s Forum pays unscheduled visit to Deputy Governor
In another development, the Cross River State APC Chapter Chairmen’s Forum paid an unscheduled visit to the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey in his office on the same Friday, 7th July.
The group which was led by the Boki Chapter Chairman who is the Chairman of Chairmen, Comrade Kelvin Njong, JP, said the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the Deputy Governor on the party’s election victory and register themselves as the first support cluster at the local government level.
Hon. Odey thanked the Chapter Chairmen for their faithfulness in flying the flag of the party. He said the congratulations belonged to all of them that worked for the massive victory that was recorded in the field. He assured them that the APC in Cross River State will grow stronger as ‘our brothers’ in other parties were on the verge of joining the APC family.
