In an exciting development for the Bakassi Fish Festival, Equatorial Guinea has officially become one of the participating countries in the upcoming second edition of the festival. Frank Edimah, the Director General of the Bakassi Fish Festival, shared this news following a high-profile delegation’s courtesy visit to the Consul General of Equatorial Guinea in Calabar, His Excellency, Ildefonso Ondo Nchama NEGROIDHAVEN can say.

The visit aimed to strengthen ties and cooperation for the Bakassi Fish Festival. Edimah expressed her enthusiasm for this collaboration and hinted at exciting opportunities that emerged from their discussions during the visit.

Members of the Bakassi Arbitration Panel expressed their excitement about the project, emphasizing its potential to positively impact the Bakassi community. Etinyin Effiom Bassey pledged support and endorsed the annual festival, offering prayers and blessings for its success. He also promised to spread the word about the festival to other clans and villages in Bakassi.
